OpenCourse Solutions offers a complete suite of technology products and
services. The core of our product offering consists of three unique and
state-of-the-art systems for managing golf properties: OpenTee, the Account
Management System (AMS), and the Scorecard for business intelligence.
OpenTee, AMS, and the Scorecard are built on a distributed computing
platform that employs the latest object technology to enable streamlined
data access and integration across our suite of products. The result is a
computing environment that brings together diverse business processes and
remote locations, enabling them to work together as a single entity.
Combined with our data warehouse and other components of our product suite,
our core systems could be used in any environment, and are ideally suited
for the management of high-end, multi-course properties.
OpenTee
OpenTee changes the paradigm for how companies book reservations. More
than just scheduling software, OpenTee allows operators to generate optimal
yields based on a precise combination of rates and availability. The system
allows management to implement rules that drive the reservations process,
rather than leaving all decisions to users in the pro shop. OpenTee can:

AMS - The Account Management system consists of several
applications for processing different types of member or non-member
transactions through a single customer account. AMS applications include:
- Gift card. Customers can purchase and redeem gift cards either
locally or across properties. The cards can be purchased in specific
denominations, or for an amount of the customer’s choosing. Customers can
optionally have gift cards reloaded for continued use. The system can
handle pre-sold rounds and meal plans which makes it ideal for use in a
full-scale resort operation.
- Loyalty card. This application enables entry, management, and
redemption of amounts awarded to customers who participate in loyalty
programs. Redemption can be restricted at various levels, from SKU through
revenue center.
- Credit book. This application automates entry and management of
credit book balances for clubs that offer memberships. Managers can create
accounts and award values, while cashiers can perform balance inquiries
and tender transactions to the accounts.
- Advance deposits. AMS handles advance deposits for banquet and
group sales activities, with charges sent to AR through a simple
interface.
Other Products
- Data management. Our data management systems provide data
integration, storage, and business intelligence across the company. All
operational data is rolled-up and stored in a central data warehouse.
- Accounting services. Accounting tasks are handled by our Great
Plains financial solution. This system provides distributed components for
course management, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable, and Billing. Data can be stored centrally and managed locally.
- POS. We offer real-time integration between Micros POS and tee
time reservations, allowing a user a complete audit trail for
reservations. The Micros POS system also interfaces with back-end
applications, including gift/loyalty cards, data warehouse, general
ledger, corporate intranet, and inventory.
- Internet services that include website development with the
option of multiple profiles. Online tee time reservations are also
available.
- Intranet services. Our Scorecard for business intelligence
provides key metrics in revenue, labor, and future bookings. This provides
a single-source view of client information, easily accessed through a
corporate intranet. The Scorecard automates the retrieval of daily
transaction data, enabling managers to review the previous day’s business
and labor figures.
- E-mail marketing services. This system builds upon a customer
database, allowing staff to create and deliver professionally designed
e-mail campaigns to targeted groups and individuals.
- Call Center services for processing reservations and generating sales.
The call center eliminates the need for clubs to answer the phone and book
starting times. It also enables the application of company-wide yield
management and marketing tools.
- Customer Relationship Management. CRM tools and techniques are
used to establish, keep, and grow customer relationships over the long
term. A central database provides customer and sales information for
targeted marketing activities.
- Sales/Contact management. We use a customized CRM tool to
manage all sales activity at a course, including membership, group,
banquet, and tournament sales.
- Merchandise Inventory management. This system enables
comprehensive, end-to-end inventory management, including SKU management,
quantities, costing, and pricing. In the near future we will add an
open-to-buy and budgeting component to the system.
