Corporate History
Postec, Incorporated is a leader in providing point-of-sale
systems to the Southeast United States. In 1987 David Shaw purchased the
Micros district office with an eye on improving its local management in an
entrepreneurial spirit. Postec’s management team was previously employed by
Sweda International, NCR and Micros Systems, Inc. with over sixty years of
management experience in sales and marketing as well as product support. The
original team is still in place at Postec today and the company expansion in
revenues, employees and customers has grown consistently since its
inception. Postec has continually increased its offerings to supply a full
line of products and services to various retail markets.
Postec,
Inc. is targeting larger retail accounts that demand top quality products,
service and support from a single vendor. There are many complex
point-of-sale integrations that require a high degree of technological
expertise and market knowledge, and Postec has that expertise and has
committed the training required. Our technical staff is all A+ Certified and
our Professional Service Division has certifications in various Microsoft
Operating Systems, and is a Microsoft Certified Partner as well as an IBM
Premier Partner.
Postec,
Inc. has expanded its marketing effort geographically through a
merger/acquisition of PCR, Inc. the Micros dealer for South Carolina
(Greenville, Columbia and Myrtle Beach). In addition, Postec has assumed additional areas of primary
responsibility (APRs) with Micros for Chattanooga and Knoxville in Tennessee
as well as Charlotte and Asheville in North Carolina.
Postec currently operates in four physical locations: Atlanta, Charlotte,
Greenville and Knoxville. Postec also has talented staff
positioned in virtual offices in Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas.
Our home office will continue to be in the greater Atlanta area and will
be the hub for operations and administration of all branch operations. Each
office is connected to the in-house accounting and administration systems
via a Wide Area Network for email services, company intranet and
dispatch/help desk.
