In this aptly titled article in the July/August issue of ‘Restaurant Informer,’ the official magazine of the Georgia Restaurant Association, writer Kevin Hogencamp highlights some of the cooler, more useful apps for both restaurant owners & their guests.

Orderly – This Georgia-grown app handles ordering, invoicing and inventory, turning food management into a paperless endeavor. – Split checks easier with this free app from an Atlanta-based company.  While it’s no big deal to split checks with a robust POS system like Oracle MICROS & Toast, if you have a less robust system, it can be challenging.  PayandSplit is a “frictionless” way to do it with little investment.

CulinaryLocal – This is a really exciting marketing tool for restaurants and event planners to use as event promotion and a ticketing platform all in one.  As a consumer, it’s a great resource to find foodie & drinkie (is that a word?) events in your city without having to go to multiple sites.
